Department Manager

Job Summary:

The Department Manager at Savers is responsible for overseeing either the retail service side of the store or the backroom product flow function (production). This role ensures smooth operations, excellent customer service, and efficient handling of merchandise while supporting the company’s mission of reuse and sustainability.

Roles and Duties:

• Manage daily operations in assigned department (retail or production).
• Lead and support team members to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Monitor inventory levels and merchandising standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
• Drive sales and productivity through effective leadership.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or production experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
• Experience in retail, production, or warehouse operations a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
