Sr. Data Scientist

Job Summary:

General Mills, Inc. is seeking multiple experienced and innovative Sr. Data Scientists to join our team at our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time position plays a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions, particularly in the marketing and media space. Remote work is permitted within the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative approaches to support business objectives through advanced analytics and modeling.
• Effectively communicate analytical methods and findings to cross-functional marketing and media partners.
• Explore and test new data sources to discover untapped business value.
• Integrate and manage external data sources for enterprise-wide analytical use.
• Engineer features through binning, aggregation, pivoting, or encoding to enhance model performance.
• Implement machine learning models that are repeatable, dynamic, and scalable.
• Establish long-term data science best practices, tools, frameworks, and standards.
• Collaborate with other Data Scientists through engagement, feedback, and shared learning.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Experience with statistical modeling, clustering, and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in complex SQL queries.
• Experience with data warehousing tools such as Hadoop, BigQuery, or MS Access.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Spotfire.
• Background check and drug screening required.
