Job Summary:
At Tesla, our Parts Advisors are key players in our service operations, supporting both technicians and customers in our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. You will work closely with various departments, ensuring smooth parts operations and contributing to a high-quality service experience. Responsibilities:
- Source and allocate parts for vehicle service appointments from Distribution Centers and other Service Centers.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the parts system; communicate availability to relevant teams.
- Prepare for upcoming appointments by reviewing, documenting, and organizing internal orders for shipment.
- Process and return warranty parts, including hazardous materials and high-voltage batteries.
- Receive, inspect, and store stock and special-order parts systematically.
- Collaborate with the Regional Parts Manager to resolve supplier issues and provide vendor feedback.
- Transport parts using vans or forklifts, and engage third-party services when needed.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with teams and customers.
- Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking; skilled in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license; ability to meet state licensing requirements where applicable.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and performing repetitive tasks; must be able to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to identify safety hazards and parts, and operate systems within the department.
