Assistant Dining Room Manager

Job Description:

The main responsibility of the Assistant Dining Room Manager is to support the Restaurant General Manager in supervising the daily operations of a single restaurant. This requires effective leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

PROFITABILITY

• Manages inventory expenditures and upholds inventory by carrying out frequent inventory assessments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Organizes and coordinates the delivery and receipt of stock shipments by trucks
• Maintains a comprehensive record of all the restaurant's physical assets and equipment, which is regularly reviewed for maintenance and replacement
• The maintenance and upkeep of restaurant facilities and equipment are crucial, and it is essential to adhere to organization standards while engaging with outside vendors as required
• Executes measures to ensure that the restaurant strictly conforms to all cash control and safety procedures such as verifying cash handling and processing methods

• The focus is on sparking team members' passion and initiative to deliver exceptional service that surpasses guests' expectations

PEOPLE

• Our coaching and feedback approach focuses on developing the capabilities of Shifts Coordinators and Team Members to ensure they fully understand their roles and responsibilities, and are equipped to handle the demands of their respective positions

OPERATIONS:

• Leads the restaurant team to efficiently and accurately prepare and serve items, meeting the specified guidelines for speedy service
• Maintaining the Restaurant's Compliance with Operational and Brand Standards

Takes on the tasks and obligations of the Hourly Shift Coordinator, should the need arise

Qualifications and Skills:

• The minimum age requirement is 18 years
• To be eligible, one must hold a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential, with a college education of at least two years being advantageous
• Applicants who have worked in quick service establishments for at least a year or two are desirable, with a preference for those who have experience in management roles
• The ability to interpret a P&L and make strategic decisions based on the data found within can have a profound impact on a company's bottom line
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Customer service is not merely a smile and a warm greeting, it's about the guest's satisfaction. Understanding and anticipating their needs will ensure they have a pleasant and memorable stay
• My availability for work extends to evenings, weekends, and holidays as well
• To ensure the smooth operation of the establishment, it is necessary to have the ability to work extended and irregular work schedules
